  3. this song is awesome, some people call it weird but I think its great and interesting, and very expressive..even if he was on drugs when he made it

  6. i hate the word “even” in your comment. drugs have great potential. they open up different parts of the mind which can produce beauty, but also can create madness. theres a fine line though. I have come to the realization that life is about balance. he dropped out of society and created beauty, but who could he share it with? no one. anyways im not trying to be a douche, just trying to give a different perspective. dont take it the wrong way.

Thanks for posting this playlist man, I haven’t heard this album in years and realize how much I’ve missed it now.
The Will To Death is an incredible album if you’re thinking about getting another one from John.

  17. @birdieboy91 ya he was trying to immitate some famous woman who took pictures like that i think. it was his girlfriends idea at the time

  18. @Emerican231 no he wasn’t! he based the niandra lades alter ego off of the french artist marcel duchamp’s female alter ego “rrose selavy”. if you look at photos of duchamp’s alter ego you will find john’s inspiration. it was john’s idea and the photos were “supposedly” taken for his girlfriend (at the time) toni oswald’s film.
